- 8:40pm - Unit #65 assisted a motorist
with a flat tire on northbound I-270 just south of I-44. 65 offered
to help change the tire but the driver didn't have a lugnut wrench.
65 remained behind the motorist with his lights on until his parents
arrived to pick him up.

March 15, 2001 - 10:45am - Unit #65 assisted
a stranded motorist on the off ramp from southbound I-270 onto Highway
21. The motorist was partially blocking the right lane and had a
tow truck on the way. 65 remained behind him with his lights on
until the tow truck arrived and removed the vehicle.

March 20, 2001 - 8:40pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist on southbound I-270 just south of Highway 30. The motorist
had a tow truck on the way so 65 remained behind him with his lights
on until it arrived.

March 20, 2001 - 8:55pm - Unit #220 assisted
a motorist with a flat tire on southbound I-270 just south of I-44.
Since the shoulder was narrow, 220 remained behind the motorist
with his lights on and provided a light source while the driver
changed the tire.

March 20, 2001 - 10:00pm - Unit #65 and
#220 assisted a motorist on the shoulder of westbound I-44 just
west of Highway 141. The tow truck the motorist had called arrived
about 30 seconds after 65 and 220 stopped so they remained behind
the motorist until the tow truck driver finished hooking up the
car.

March 23, 2001 - 4:35pm - Unit #73 was
driving northbound on Highway 141 approaching Highway 30 when he
came upon a truck that took a turn too fast and lost the load on
his trailer (a bulldozer). 73 called the police and closed the two
right lanes of Highway 141. 73 called unit #65 to the scene to assist
with traffic control. They remained at the scene for over an hour
until officials put the bulldozer back on the trailer and cleaned
up the gas spill.

March 25, 2001 - 9:00pm - Unit #220 and
unit #65 assisted a St. Louis County Police Officer on a traffic
stop on westbound I-44 at Highway 141. The shoulder was narrow where
he pulled the truck over so the officer was forced to stand in the
traffic lane to talk to the driver. 220 and 65 waved traffic out
of the lane for the officer.

March 26, 2001 - 9:30pm - Unit #220 and
unit #65 checked on a vehicle on the shoulder of westbound I-44
one mile east of Antire Rd. The vehicle had a flat tire and had
safety triangles set up behind it but it was unoccupied. 220 and
65 checked the highway to see if the driver was walking for help
but they were unable to locate anyone.

March 30, 2001 - 9:10pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist on the shoulder of westbound I-44 two miles west of Highway
141. The motorist had a dead battery but he came prepared with his
own jumper pack to charge the battery. 65 remained behind him until
he got his truck (pulling a car on a trailer) going again.
