2, 2001 - 8:50pm - Unit #65 assisted a motorist with a flat tire
on westbound I-44 just east of Antire Rd. The driver didn't have
a cell phone and was trying to drive on the shoulder to the next
exit when 65 pulled up behind her. 65 let the driver use his cell
phone to call her husband to come and change the tire. 65 offered
to stay with her until he arrived, but she said that wouldn't be
necessary. She thanked 65 for stopping to help.

January 3, 2001 - 5:45pm - Unit #220 assisted
the Ellisville Police with traffic control at the scene of a two
vehicle accident on Clarkson Rd. just south of Clayton Rd.
January 3, 2001 - 9:30pm - Unit #73 and
unit #65 assisted a motorist with a flat tire on the off ramp from
westbound I-44 onto North Highway Drive. Since the motorist was
in a bad location to change a tire, 65 and 73 remained behind him
with their lights on to slow traffic until he finished.

January 3, 2001 - 9:45pm - Unit #65 and
unit #73 assisted another motorist with a flat tire on westbound
Highway 30 just west of I-270. 65 and 73 remained behind them with
their lights on until they finished changing the tire.

January 6, 2001 - 8:25pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist with a flat tire on southbound I-270 just south of I-44.
The motorist had a CD changer installed in the trunk and he couldn't
get the spare tire out. 65 provided him with a list of tow company
phone numbers. 65 remained with the motorist until the tow truck
arrived.

January 8, 2001 - 8:50pm - Unit #65 and
unit #220 assisted a motorist with a flat tire on northbound I-270
at I-44. 65 used his hydraulic jack to raise the car so the driver
could change the tire. 220 let the driver use his four way tire
iron when the driver's tire iron snapped in two.

January 12, 2001 - 8:25pm - Unit #220 assisted
a stranded motorist on northbound I-270 at Big Bend Rd. 220 jump
started the vehicle and got it going again.
January 14, 2001 - 8:10pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist on southbound I-270 just north of Highway 30. Since the
shoulder was narrow, 65 remained behind the motorist with his lights
on until her husband picked her up.

January 19, 2001 - 8:30pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist on southbound Highway 141 in front of the St. Louis Couny
Police Fenton Precinct Station. One car was turned around to jump
start the van, but the motorist and her friend couldn't get it started.
65 hooked up his booster pack to jump start the van but it couldn't
start the van either. 65 told her he didn't think the battery was
the problem. The motorist said she would come back later for the
van and she thanked 65 for stopping.

January 27, 2001 - 8:50pm - Unit #65 assisted
a stranded motorist on southbound I-270 one mile south of Highway
21. 65 let the motorist use his cell phone to call a tow truck and
remained behind him until it arrived.
