- 9:30pm - Unit #65 assisted a stranded motorist with a broken engine
on northbound I-270 just north of Highway 21. 65 stayed behind the
motorist with his lights on until a friend arrived to pick her up.

May 12, 2000 - 1:00pm - Unit #65 was driving
east on I-44 when he saw a lady standing in front of her car with
the hood up on the shoulder of westbound I-44 just west of Soccer
Park Road. 65 turned around at the next exit, came back westbound,
and stopped behind the motorist with his lights on. Another motorist
had stopped to help the first motorist so 65 asked her if they needed
any help. The second motorist said she was a RN and she just called
911 because the woman in the disabled car was pregnant, bleeding,
and experiencing abdominal pains. 65 let the RN use his medical
bag until the Fenton fire truck (1345) and the ambulance (1327)
arrived on the scene and took the woman to the hospital.


May 13, 2000 - Unit #220 assisted a stranded
motorist with a flat tire at I-270 and Gravios Road. He stayed behind
the vehicle with his lights on until the tow truck arrived.
May 15, 2000 - 7:50pm - Unit #65 assisted
two motorists on the shoulder of North Highway Drive at Bowles Ave.
They were attempting to turn one vehicle around to jump start the
other so 65 stayed behind them with his lights on and made sure
they were doing this safely.

May 27, 2000 - Unit #220 assisted the
Des Peres Police and Fire Department by blocking one lane of eastbound
Manchester Road at I-270. This was done in order to remove a motorist
from a vehicle that was suffering an asthma attack.
May 28, 2000 - 9:05pm - Unit #65 assisted
a motorist on northbound I-55 just south of I-255. They were waiting
for a tow truck so 65 stayed behind them with his lights on until
the tow truck arrived.

May 28, 2000 - 9:30pm - While unit #65
was waiting for the tow truck to arrive in the above report, a car
pulled up about 100 feet behind him and a man walked up to his car.
He said he had just run out of gas so 65 gave him a gallon of gas.
65 then continued to wait for the tow truck.
May 30, 2000 - Unit #220 assisted a stranded
motorist at Laclede Station Road and Heege Road. The owners' vehicle
had died and was blocking the left turn lane to Watson Road. 220
directed traffic around the vehilce until the tow truck arrived.
