January 8, 2000 - 7:15pm - Unit #65 received
a call over CB channel 9 from a frantic woman who just witnessed
a vehicle accident on North Highway Drive in front of the Chrysler
Plant. 65 got to the scene within three minutes and found that one
vehicle had lost control on westbound I-44, crashed through the
fence, and ended up on the shoulder of North Highway Drive in front
of the Chrysler Plant. 65 stopped on the shoulder, turned on his
lights, checked on the driver, and put cones on the road to stop
other cars from driving over the broken glass. 65 then called the
police and while waiting for them to arrive, he helped change a
flat tire on the car.
